Go Crazy here. The sky is the limit. What habits do you wish you had?
Do you wish you- washed all your fruit before eating it, all the time? Made mortgage payments two weeks early? Ate only vegetarian? Kissed your kids every morning and every night? Told your parents you love them every time you see or talk to them? Pair all socks up out of the washer? Got to work 5-10 minutes early every day? Didn’t wear a bra? Skipped underwear altogether? Prayed more? Volunteered weekly? Tithed? Saved 20% of each paycheck? Put a fresh flower on your table daily? Exercised by 7 am daily? swam in a deep blue lake or ocean daily? Chatted with a good best friend daily? Created beauty every day? Said “thank you” every morning upon awakening? Paid off all credit cards monthly? Texted jokes with your brother weekly? Laughed a good belly laugh every day?
Very nice Anne! Take care and thank you for following.
This is very thought-provoking! Now I want to sit down and create a list of habits I wish I had, starting with volunteering and walking every morning. 🙂
Thanks! All the commenters ideas are so good!
I wished I had the habit of putting down whatever I was doing when my kids wanted to tell me something. I am good at nodding and agreeing, but I have a need to finish a chore when I should be listening to the most intelligent little ones I know.
Ps. I kicked the bra habit over 2 years ago and never plan on going back 😌
Me too! I get so “focused” I forget what is important.
One day at a time right?
Excellent post, I ticked going without a bra all my life and I don’t have a brother 😂 Some of the others I’m good for. A habit I would love to develop is telling others how phenomenal they are 😀
Thanks for visiting Charlie! You haven’t missed the bra either, I bet. I like your habit too. You already started it with my post😆
Yay! 😀
I wish I had a habit of telling my parents that I live them so much. Well I do love them the most in the universe, but it’s just that I am bad at expressing my feelings.
😅
Me too. I just visited mine and couldn’t get the words out. They know it, but I think they would still like to hear it.
Thanks for visiting 😊
Same here.😅
Thanks! I love that dreamy photo too. Isnt it funny how we don’t do what we know could make us feel good? I am a champion at exercise procrastination myself.
First of all, that’s a beautiful photo right there! ❤ As for the question, I wish I had the habit of exercising. I really need it since the lockdown!
I wish I had the habit of getting up early, going for a run and shower before work. This is my image of people who have their sh*t together.
True that. I can usually only muster one or the other, unless work started at 10 am (she says as she sits in running shorts worn since 7 am, but didn’t run OR shower today, and now whoops! It is almost 9 pm, better go to bed!🤣)
I’ve managed it a handful of times in my whole life. Would I say it’s worth it? Not sure given that I didn’t keep it up. There’s something about the cold mornings and darkness that put me off. That and not naturally being a morning person.
The best gabit I have is breathing, followed by a beating heart. Okay, everyone likes those, though they seldom think about them. They are necessary habits. Being alive is also a necessity, in conjunction with the two above. I don’t necessarily thank anyone for being alive, but I certainly do appreciate it. And I will appreciate it more when I’m dead.
The habit if enjoying our breaths, and taking them in gratitude!
I wish I had the habit of folding the laundry on time so it didn’t wrinkle, and I wish I didn’t have moments of doubt when I get tired because then I get sad for a moment and that turns to fear, so it’s like the match stick lights hot and quick, then dies just as fast: Tired from overworking – doubt – fear – worry – then I regret doubting because it’s not in me to ever give up what is right for me so why wear myself out further with the doubt! (:
Yes! I am on that same flow chart with you. I get tired, then can get anxious, then I start worrying about my lack of perfection and keep working harder (thus more tired), and then fear sets in. I could circumvent quite a lot of that whole game by just going to bed on time. I think that is the habit I need most- in bed by 9 pm and calmly reading.
